Under the keyword “Smart Home”, the automation of one’s own four walls has been a theme that on has been pushing for a while already. The digitalisation is not stopping at the garden gate. Mowing the lawn and barbecuing or watering the plants can all be conveniently controlled via the smartphone.  From 3 to 5 September, spoga+gafa 2017 will show which new devices and technologies will turn one’s own garden into a smart environment. As such the international garden fair is doing justice to the high demand and the rapid development in this section.

In the form of the Smart Gardening World, spoga+gafa is thus establishing its second themed island for current garden-related technologies. The IVG Power Place Battery already celebrated its premiere at the trade fair last year. This is where manufacturers of battery-run devices showcase their latest products. Both themed islands will be located in Hall 6 at the coming spoga+gafa. In the centre of the Smart Gardening World and the Power Place Battery, a demonstration zone and a lecture area will invite the guests to gather practical information. In addition to the latest developments of smart garden technologies, the lecture programme is also addressing themes that are relevant for the trade.
