Green Communication Centre at spoga+gafa 2013: the Plant Park

A flourishing communication centre is awaiting the industry in the Plant Park in Hall 9. This year over 20 horticultural companies from ‘Plantregio Rhein-Maas e.V.’ and ‘The Green Connection’ will be providing active support in designing the green lounge of the spoga+gafa.

In 2013, interested visitors can look forward to a central discussion platform on current industry themes here, in the form of the ‘Taspo Talk’: Top-class experts will be discussing current trends and relevant themes for the industry and trade on all three days of the trade fair, including “Everything in the green zone? Typical regional plants – top or flop for the garden market?” (September 8th, 11 to 11.45 a.m.) or “On all channels – the transparent customer” (September 9th, 3 p.m.). Further theme slots are planned for 3 p.m. on September 8th, 11 a.m. on September 9th, and 11 a.m. on September 10th.

Manual Rucar, trend hunter and company founder of Chlorosphère will be holding a further lecture on the theme “What does the garden look like in the summer of 2014”. Among others, he will be speaking about the origin, development and trends in the garden sector. The lecture will be held on the stage in the Plant Park once a day throughout the trade fair.

Furthermore, the spoga+gafa 2013 will kick off on the Sunday with the Garden Centre Day accompanied by a programme to suit its target group – including a ‘Happy Hour’ at 5 p.m. As in previous years, the Verband Deutscher Garten-Center e.V. (VDG/Association of German Garden Centres) is extremely well represented in the Plant Park.

The same applies for the Industrieverband Garten e.V. (IVG/Garden Industry Association). The IVG will be inviting guests to join them at their exhibition stand at 5.30 p.m. on Monday for the debut of the ‘IVG Garden Party’. This will offer exhibitors and visitors the opportunity for a lively exchange in a relaxed atmosphere after a busy exhibition day.

The ‘International Reception’ of the European DIY Retail Association (EDRA) will also be taking place on Monday evening. The ‘get-together’ begins at 6 p.m. in the Europasaal (Business Lounge).
