Diversified and Attractive: The Supporting Programme of the spoga+gafa 2013

From discussions, to practical areas, through to the interactive „boulevard of ideas“: The supporting programme of the spoga+gafa will be putting the current trends of the green industry in the limelight.

The spoga+gafa will once again be presenting itself in Cologne as the world“s leading garden trade fair from September 8th to 10th, 2013. Not only the exhibition will be offering an overview of almost all sectors of the garden and leisure time market, the event“s supporting programme will also be focusing on the current trends and developments as well as on case studies. The trade fair will offer plenty of sources of information and opportunities for discussion and exchange with international experts as well as the chance to network with other industry participants, for instance in the formats “spoga+gafa in 100 seconds”, “boulevard of ideas”, the “Taspo Talk” and the 3rd Garden Centre Day in the Plant Park, the “IVG Garden Party”, and the Grill Park including its practical areas as well as a variety of further events.

“Boulevard of Ideas”: The Green Thread through the spoga+gafa

The „boulevard of ideas“ is the central link between the halls, the stands of the exhibitors and the entire communication programme. This year the trade visitors can look forward to a mixture between an event and a trade fair here. In 2013 the focus lies on the „in“ themes of the exhibitors, which will be presented briefly among other in the newly created format „spoga+gafa in 100 seconds“. This entertaining product show will be staged daily in the newly designed Garden Café on the boulevard. This will give the trade visitors the opportunity to learn more about the novelties of the manufacturers fast and also where they can be found at the trade fair.

There is also something for people, who are looking for a little sporting entertainment on their way around the fair. For the first time the show is offering a surf simulator on the boulevard, which will enable the trade visitors to ride the perfect wave. The garden and leisure time ambiance will become even more tangible thanks to the placement of more living green and manifold ideas on the theme of beach and water sports.

Green Communication Centre: the Plant Park

A flourishing communication centre is awaiting the industry in the Plant Park in Hall 9. This year over 20 horticultural companies from „Plantregio Rhein-Maas e.V.“ and „The Green Connection“ will be providing active support in designing the green lounge of the spoga+gafa. In 2013, interested visitors can look forward to a central discussion platform on current industry themes here, in the form of the „Taspo Talk“.

„Hot Spot“ of the spoga+gafa: the Barbecue Park

Things are going to really heat up at the spoga+gafa 2013 between Halls 5 and 6 in the barbecue park. Not only because the open air space measuring 800 square metres offers sufficient room for interactive product presentations on grills and BBQs, but also because discussion panels with industry experts promise an entertaining programme.

The newly created ambiance in the appropriate garden setting will also invite the guests to stay around. The same applies for the new BIAG Lounge. The Barbecue Industry Association Grill e.V. is supporting the Grill Park again this year and is using the area as a communication platform.

A further highlight is the well-known “Weber Grilling in the sky”. Weber-Stephen will be grilling at a height of 45 metres – this will definitely also be a feast for the eyes.

Distinguished: „unique youngstar 2013“

The exhibition zone „garden unique“ (Hall 10.2) will also be accompanied by a Young Talented Designer competition again this year. The contest is entitled „unique youngstar“ in 2013. For the first time 15 young creative talents will have the chance to win the coveted distinction: The top 15 ideas on the theme of „Outdoor Living“ – selected by an expert jury – will be showcased in a prototype exhibition in the „garden unique“ area. At 5 p.m. on Sunday, the competition will celebrate its festive climax: During the „unique hour“, three jury awards and an audience prize will be presented. The voting for the audience prize ends on August 30th (www.gardenunique.de/youngstars).

spoga+gafa 2013 will be open to trade visitors on 8th and 9th September from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. and on 10th September from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
