The POS Green Solution Islands at spoga+gafa will show readymade ideas for the design and styling of retail spaces. Besides the inspiration the islands clearly focus on practical examples for the implementation to increase sales.

On a surface of 6 x 6 meters the POS Green Solution Islands design an inspirational and role model area for the consumers dedicated to a specific theme. It is a proposal for a possible way of presentation like one finds in a garden centre, DIY store or other retail outlet. Hereby products are combined from a wide range of commodity groups like garden furniture, pots, plants, carpets, accessories etc. in the same way that the consumer does at home. The aim is that the spoga+gafa visitors put this idea into practice in their own establishments. The visitors can enquire about the plans and designs presented at the trade fair.

Oliver Mathys, who organizes the POS Green Solution Islands, believes that there are various possibilities regarding the sales promotion today. “Greenery has become increasingly more important for the consumers over the past years“, says the acknowledged Dutch market expert. “Plants provide a healthy environment in the cities and in the private environment.“ This years topics of the POS Green Solution Islands are “The Planthunter“, “Living with plants“, “Grab and go“, “Homemade” und “Upside down“. They range from newly discovered plants from all over the globe and innovative solutions for easy-care living with plants in the home office to vertical design with hanging and climbing plants.

With POS Green Solution Islands spoga+gafa want also to animate retailers to communicate with younger target groups. “The green industry particularly struggles with the implementation of the social networks“, says Oliver Mathys. “Especially regarding presentation and communications one has to break away from the established and trusted paths and venture out into unfamiliar terrain.” Together with Judith Baehner, an internationally famous blogger, author and initiator of “Het Groenlab“, the trade fair offers two different guided tours for the POS Green Solution Islands. On the one hand, they will examine the worlds of the consumers and developments of plants in cities and on the other hand they will look at mixed assortments, planning and design on the sales area as well as technical tricks with the layout and care.

The Guided Tours with Oliver Mathys and Judith Baehner will take place on Sunday and Monday at 13.30 p.m.
